Why McCain Just Lost the Election

palin.jpgRampant commentary floating around teh Internets about the bizarre choice of Governor Palin for McCain’s VP pick. A few hopeful GOP types are attempting a positive spin, but it’s just got QUAYLE written all over it. It seems like a desperate cry for Hillaryness. It won’t fly and here’s why. No fourty-four year old woman with five chillrens and two years as governor (of ALASKA! It’s not even daytime there half the year!) is ready to be president when McCain kicks the bucket. I’m not saying he will, but EVERYBODY KNOWS you pick a VP who can be president if the real elected guy dies. Biden’s got teeth and presidential hair. It’s clear he’s qualified, but Palin? McCain, you let the pressure get to you. You caved on some bad advice. Here’s a quote from the NY Times:

Mrs. Palin was fairly unenthusiastic about the vice presidency when she was asked about it during an Aug. 1 interview with Larry Kudlow on CNBC.

“I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does time.jpgeveryday? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that V.P. slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.”

Boy, you sure can tell Karl Rove’s out of the picture, can’t you?

Completely INSULTING move by McCain!!….basically he is telling us we don’t know or care about the issues and we can’t tell one woman from another, right?!

Yup, I agree completely, Gen. I’m also confident that even conservative voters will be turned off by this move. Many supported McCain because he seemed like a strong and reasonable choice. Now? I think these same voters would never want Palin as his step-in. And since I am supporting Obama in this election. I’m pretty happy about McCain choosing Palin!

PLEASE!! He could’ve Picked GOD himself and you Liberals would have a negative reason as to WHY it was Wrong for him to do it.

Think of it like this…. two teams are picking up for a 5 on 5 basketball street game, there is only one more to pick, up walks the starting Forward for the State High School Champion Team who was also the State Free Throw Champion and Leader in Blocks. All Guys picked so far and with one pick to go your Son picks this Girl. . . FAIR? She is eligible, same age range, not as if she is a college/nba star. Did he do it because he his testosterone was up and wanted to be near a sweaty woman? Is it unfair because the other guys will take it easy on a Girl? YET, the other team is Mad .. just because he Picked a Damn Good Player. Inside they are Jealous. And Inside all the Liberals are Jealous, Ticked OFF that McCain picked a Great Teammate. SO, you choose to overlook ALL of this wonderful womans accomplishments and instead Slander her with Childish 8th Grade remarks about really meatless comments.

Did he pick her because she was a woman, heck YES that was part of it….DUHHH. And it just Burns Your Ashes! because he made a smart move. Stop showing your ignorance, Support that Islamic Community Leader with ZERO Experience EVER leading people, for he is going to need all your help.

Re: Ron’s comment–women of intelligence are smart enough to see through McCain’s pick as nothing more than a feeble attempt to pander and patronize women voters. Just because some women who supported Hillary are upset she didn’t win the primaries or was passed over as Obama’s VP pick, doesn’t mean Palin represents a good replacement. Women don’t vote for women simply because they’re women. We have too many ideals and issues at stake to be that simplistic. If women voters think Palin is the right person for the veep job, they will vote for her, regardless of their conservative or liberal politics. Having said that, though, most women I’ve talked to on both sides of the political spectrum find McCain’s choice insulting to their intelligence.

Give that some thought, why doncha?

Ron, thanks for your comments. I guess some conservatives are happy with the Palin choice! p.s. for the future, please note that 8th grade comments are part of the humor of the site. :)

Ron, you ignorant slut! I’m a woman and I will NOT vote for Sarah Palin because her beliefs are almost diametrically opposed to mine. ANY woman candidate cannot substitute for Hillary Clinton. And I frankly don’t know of any *peer* of Hillary Clinton that was under consideration. Palin is not the same as Hillary Clinton; she’s not as experienced, as tough, as talented. Sarah does not = Hillary.

Second, the basketball metaphor was ill advised.

Third, I am a Liberal (that’s NOT a dirty word) and I am not jealous of McCain’s pick for VP. He just lost the election, IMHO. “Ticked off that McCain picked a Great Teammate”? OMG, I really am rolling on the floor laughing. I’m absolutely thrilled with his selection. It just shows his total lack of understanding of real women in this country.

Fourth, “eighth grade comments”? Even a girl in the eighth grade knows is bright enough to know she doesn’t want a boy telling her what she can or cannot do.

Fifth, what burns my ashes is that ignorant conservatives are still trying to spread the LIE that Barack Obama is an Islamist or, to be more correct, a Muslim. IT ISN’T TRUE, YOU IDIOT! Quit whining like a girl! You’re going to lose this really important national argument. It’s time racism died. It’s time spreading gossipy slander stopped. Why don’t you take a deep breath and see how long you can hold it!

    Cute name calling too.
Lastly, thank YOU for Pointing out SARAH does not = Hillary, oh THank GOD for THAT!! ps… Hillary isn’t running anymore, sorry for the bad news.
